Our story
Sophie's began with its founder, Sophie, a stylist who has spent 22 years on the salon floor here on the Isle of Man. She wanted to build a place that did more than cut and colour: a salon that also looked after the people behind the chair.
For Sophie, one salon was never going to be enough. Sophie's brings three things together, the salon, the trade counter and the training room, so that each one supports the other two.
The salon is where it begins. Cuts, colour, gel and balayage, done properly and never rushed, in a warm space that feels like the island it sits on.
The trade counter grew out of a simple frustration: getting good salon products to the island should not be slow or expensive. So we supply other salons and qualified stylists at honest trade prices, with stock you can actually rely on.
And the training room is how we pass it on. Courses and qualifications for stylists and technicians who want to get better at their craft, taught by people who still do the work themselves, and we would love you to be part of it.

Sophie has spent 22 years behind the chair on the Isle of Man, and Sophie's is the salon she always wanted to run. She leads the floor, sets the standard for the work, and knows most of her regulars by name.
She started the trade counter and the training room because she kept being asked the same two questions: where do you get your products, and will you show me how you did that? Sophie's is her answer to both.
She is the one who keeps the work honest and the welcome warm.
When she is not in the salon, you will find her somewhere on the island with a coffee, talking about the next thing she wants to try.
What we are about
Sophie's exists to do three things properly and let them lift each other: look after clients in the salon, look after other salons at the trade counter, and bring on the next set of stylists in the training room. We are a small island business that would rather be brilliant at a few things than average at everything.

How it all fits together
Walk in for a cut or colour and you are in the salon. Run a salon of your own, or you are a qualified stylist? Apply for a trade account and the shop shows you wholesale prices once we have checked your qualification. Want to learn? The training room runs courses and qualifications through the year.
It is all one business and one account. Book an appointment, order your stock and sign up for a course in the same place, with the same friendly faces looking after you either side of the counter.

Trade accounts
Wholesale prices are for qualified stylists and salons. Apply for a trade account and you will see trade pricing once we have checked your qualification, usually within a working day. Everyone is welcome to browse, book a salon appointment and join a course without one.
